Updates from the board,
We are now in the middle of the indoor season. Before the Christmas break both the men's and the women's teams participated in a couple of game-weekends. There were some tougher games but we also showed great skills and team-spirit and gave some good competition. 2023 started off with the women's team representing in Gothenburg and last weekend both teams met Mesaicos on their home pitch in Solna.
14th of February a club meeting will be arranged by the SWE3 Landhockey-federation to discuss the indoor and outdoor league as well as how to grow the sport in Sweden. If you have any input or would like to participate please reach out to the board.
24th of February a social gathering will be arranged for the whole Nacka club. More information will follow, but please book it in the calendar. We would like to see as many of you as possible. Perfect opportunity to get to know each other a bit better and build team spirit.
18th of April, 18:00, Nacka Landhockey Klubb's annual general meeting will be held. Save the date. Location to be decided.
We are looking for new members to the nominating committee, a group working on finding members to the board as well as other important positions within the club.
As we don't have a nominating committee at the moment please reach out to Rachel or anyone else on the board in case you would like to be part of the board. We have a couple of open positions still within the board.
If you don't necessarily want to be part of the board or the nominating committee but still would like to help the club prosper, there are several tasks on different engagement levels to help the club with. If we all chip in a little bit the club will work much more stable and hopefully also be able to grow.
For the upcoming outdoor season we have signed up both men's and women's teams for the Hockey5 league.
We also have a new Nacka's club web shop, please check it out! Here you can find both new game kits as well as other Nacka branded clothing items and hockey equipment.
Next board meeting will take place digitally on the 14th of March. If you would like the board to discuss anything particular, please send an email or talk to someone on the board.

Hi Nacka community,
Here is a short update of what is in focus at the moment. Contact us if there are questions, ideas or input.
Field hockey
Social
trainings has been lots of fun during the summer but gladly now we have started up the regular training on Sundays at Stavsborg BP!
We got Hockey5-games coming up 28th of aug (Men´s play Roslagen at Bergshamra BP in Solna). But more exciting is that on the 4th of September we will host games at our home pitch at Stavsborg BP. Please note that we all need to help out with transport and setup of the borders for the 4th of Sep game day.
Later in September, the Hockey5-SM will be played in Göteborg (24-25th), hopefully both teams will qualify!
Regarding the umpire situation in Sweden (rather lack of), the board is talking to SWE3 about umpire training courses and what the recruitment strategy is in general.
Recruitment
Another thing that is being discussed frequently is recruitment. How do we attract students moving to Stockholm or expats with a field hockey background that are here? Ideas are more than welcome!!!! During the summer Jenny has hosted two beginner trainings in Spånga, let´s see what that could bring in the future.
Big news is that we now have a recruitment plan with a buddy concept. The idea is that an interested person gets a buddy assigned. The buddy will be responsible for the new potential player to make him or her feel welcome before he/she attends the 1st training and to check in after the training, a couple of times just to keep the new player interested and involved. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Anna Wendt or any of the board members.
Equipment
The Men´s team need new/additional shirts. It's currently being checked how many shirts we need.
